Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai has started its futuristic, colourful Customer Happiness Centre for increasing the happiness of the community. The centre features a free valet parking, spectacular sofas and seats, a small coffee shop, and of course no queues, counters, glasses or desks. The Customer Happiness Centre of CDA offers its customers the services they need in a very peculiar way, with a smile, says Khaled Al Kamda, Director General of the CDA in Dubai at the launching ceremony of the centre on Monday, September 05, 2016. After revamping the idea of typical customer service centres with lots of hassles and boring queues, CDA has brought more hospitality in the front by hosting the customers instead of welcoming them in a traditional manner. The happiness centre has around eight representatives at the reception along with 33 trained agents for backup.
The representatives usher customers into the centre and then take to the seating area (in nearly 13 seconds) and at the same time, personal information of customers will be fed into the centre’s database. Then the customers will be seated in the colourful seating area equipped with a coffee shop, where refreshments are served free of cost. Following this procedure, a customer service agent will offer various services provided by the centre, and the customers’ applications will be created via a tablet. All the necessary documents of the customers will be scanned and collected in a ‘smart file’ created separately for each and every customer. All these processes take hardly 5 minutes, with a touch of the screen. Here, customer service walks to the customer instead of the customer walks to the counter, adds Kamda.
The CDA’s services include family consultation, financial support to UAE nationals, services for elderly and people with disabilities, and rehabilitation centre, among others.
