Dubai-based Wrappup Closed Seed Funding

Dubai-based recording app closed a seed funding round led by BECO Capital.

Wrappup, a Dubai-based start-up, has closed a seed funding round for an undisclosed amount led by BECO Capital. The size of the round also included investments from Arzan VC, Dubai Silicon Oasis, 500 Startups, Leap Ventures partner Hala Fadel, Dubai Angel Investors, Odin Financial Advisors, and WOMENA.

“We are very excited to have invested in the company and decided to lead the seed round and support the company as they bring their product to market in the coming months. It’s encouraging to see the product getting significant interest from various large and small businesses at such an early stage of their development,” says co-founder and managing partner of BECO Capital, Amir Farha.

Wrappup, founded by Rami Salman, a former Bain and Company employee, is a meeting-based productivity app directing results oriented meetings. It is the first of its kind app to influence the abundance of verbal communication through an intelligent voice recorder. At the push of a button, users can tag and organize the vital points of discussion as contextualized notes. Wrappup allows users to capture, annotate, and store decisions and action in a collaborative workspace for future review. It is going to launch its private beta programme and accepting applications from teams and individuals who want access.

BECO Capital is a Dubai-based venture capitalist firm focusing on providing companies in the early development stage with growth capital and hands-on operational mentorship.
