Dubai Holding launched yesterday, September 26, the approved master plan of Jumeirah Central, the prestigious district development on Sheikh Zayed Road designed by Hollywood, CA architecture firm, 5+design. Jumeirah Central is an urban mixed-use city area anticipated to be the most accessible, functional, and relevant real estate in Dubai. It spreads 47 million sq ft of Gross Floor Area (GFA), heralding in a stream of first of its kind, creative urban planning, and quality of life concepts in the region. The master plan is focused on delivering a true community environment that bears rich social interaction.
Jumeirah Central comprises 278 individual building projects, 11,000 residential units, one million sq ft of retail space, eight million square feet of office space, 7,200 hotel rooms, 40 new entertainment attractions, 37 plazas, and 33 parks. It also features 25 points of access and eight modes of transit such as buses, metro, tram, and aerial transportation system. As Dubai’s first ever mixed-use community, Jumeirah Central is aspired to build 24/7 vitality, year-round economic resiliency, and effective optimisation of infrastructure.
