Dubai Wholesale City announced that it had undertaken a number of opinion polls and discussions with food traders, importers, and exporters with the aspiration of joining forces to support UAE food security.
“Our current goal is to get traders and other stakeholders on board and gather their opinions on the optimum development of Dubai to fulfil current and future market needs, and boost export and re-export operations to unprecedented levels,” says Abdullah Belhoul, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Wholesale City in a statement.
Dubai Wholesale City (DWSC), a prestigious project of the TECOM Group, spreads 550 million sq ft area to cater the needs of all the wholesale sectors in the country. It is located beside the Al Maktoum International Airport and only 10 minutes away from Jebel Ali Port, enabling it to make links between four main continents easily. On completion, the Dhs 30 billion ($8.16 billion) project will be home to over 15000 wholesale traders. DWSC also has links to all the main highways in the region and the future Etihad Rail, making it an ideal location for wholesalers.
