Westin Hotels and Resorts, a hotel chain owned by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, launches its largest property in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) at Al Habtoor City, Dubai. This second Westin in Dubai is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, near Business Bay. It comprises 41 floors with 1,004 guest rooms, including 142 suites and lobby inspired by the Hajar Mountains, the highest mountain in the eastern Arabian peninsula. One of the attractions of this Westin property is its unique two-bedroom suite situated on the 40th floor with a living area to accommodate about 14 guests, a 10-seat dining table, and separate majlis area. The suite also comprises a separate entertainment area with media wall and pool table. After the soft launch, six dining venues will also be opened, including New York Italian-inspired Il Capo Restaurant, casual American gastro pub Cook Hall, global cuisine venue Seasonal Tastes, the Daily Treats lobby lounge, and cocktail bar Blinq, says Starwood.
Starwood also plans to open Urban rooftop lounge and poolside venue ‘Firefly’ at the end of 2016. The hotel also offers facilities such as 15 meeting rooms, a spa with 20 treatment rooms, a kids club area for children, 200-seater ballroom, and gym. Late checkout and extended breakfast hours on also available Saturdays.
