The master developer of Dubai, Nakheel, has signed a letter of intent with the leading hotel chain in the world, Hilton Worldwide, to manage a new hotel at Jumeirah Village Triangle, Dubai. Nakheel announced that it would be an 18-storey hotel with 256 rooms managed under the brand ‘DoubleTree by Hilton.’ The new hotel complex will be linked directly to Nakheel’s upcoming project, Al Khail Avenue retail, a dining, and leisure hub with restaurants, 350 shops, and entertainment outlets. The new hotel comprises 256 luxury rooms, including an all-day restaurant, four suites, lounge, coffee shop, outdoor terrace, gymnasium, pool deck, and car park. A leisure club with discounted membership rates for residents of the Jumeirah Village Triangle community will also be facilitated in the hotel. Nakheel has already awarded the Dhs 1.5 billion contract to build the mall and hotel complex earlier this month and the construction is scheduled to begin in October, with completion in 2019.
Nakheel’s hospitality portfolio includes about 5,200 rooms across 14 hotels and serviced apartment complexes at prime locations in Dubai. Its retail portfolio comprises over 16 million square feet of leasable space in operation or under development.
Nakheel is the leading real estate developer in Dubai and creator of several projects, including the Palm Islands, the Dubai Waterfront, the Universe Islands, Jumeirah Islands, Jumeirah Lake Towers, and Ibn Battuta Mall.
