The master developer of Dubai, Nakheel, has announced on Tuesday, September 06, 2016, that a new, twin-tower complex with 531 premium apartments will be developed next to Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai. The project was launched on the very first day of Cityscape Global 2016 real estate exhibition, taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre. It is scheduled to complete in the fourth quarter of 2016 and upon completion, the two 48-storey towers will transform the skyline of Jebel Ali. Ibn Battuta Residences is located off Sheikh Zayed Road, adjacent to Nakheel’s iconic Ibn Battuta Mall, offering on-the-doorstep access to over 400 shops, restaurants, and various entertainment facilities. One of the main advantages of the twin-towers is that it will be within walking distance of the Dubai Metro, Jebel Ali Park, and Ibn Battuta Bus Station.

Ibn Battuta Residences comprise 395 two bedroom and 136 three bedroom apartments, some with a maid’s room and balconies, offering stunning sea and city views. Amenities such as a podium-level fitness and recreation complex featuring a landscaped pool deck full of pools for adults and children, and a gymnasium, as well as four levels of car parking with 900 spaces, ¬†will also be there in the complex. “Ibn Battuta Residences are strategically located at one of the fast-growing areas in Downtown Dubai,” says Ali Rashid Lootah, the chairman of Nakheel. “The apartments – the highest standard of housing available in Jebel Ali – are beautifully placed for people working at the nearby Jebel Ali Free Zone or Dubai South. And, being less than an hour by car from the capital city Abu Dhabi, the apartments offer an expedient address for those who regularly travel to the capital,” Lootah adds.

Nakheel Properties is one of the major real estate developers in Dubai with a portfolio of some iconic projects such as the three man-made palm tree shaped islands on the coast of Dubai, the Dubai Waterfront, and Jumeirah Lake Towers. It operates under the umbrella of ‘Dubai World’, which manages diverse businesses on behalf of the Dubai government.
