The public and private sector will be closed on May 5, according to reports from WAM, to mark Isra and Mi’raj on Wednesday May 4. Observed on the 27th day of the Islamic month of Rajab,it is the night Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) took the journey from Makkah to Jerusalem, and then to heaven.
Federal ministries, public departments and institutions are closed during the public holidays.
